PhD Scholarship Announcement

A full-time PhD student will be hired to participate in the HORIZON2020 project entitled “NATMed – Nature-based Solutions on existing infrastructures for resilient Water Management in the Mediterranean”. The project and the scholarship will be 36 months long till April 2026. The student will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Orhan Gündüz in the PhD programs of the departments of Environmental Engineering or International Water Resources at Izmir Institute of Technology, Türkiye. The student is expected to hold a MSc degree in Environmental, Civil or Geological engineering on a topic related to water resources and further be successful in the aforementioned PhD programs’ admission examinations to be held in June-July 2023. The candidate student needs to be familiar with mathematical modeling of surface and subsurface water resources. A knowledge in programming will be counted as a plus during the selection process. The selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of 500 Euros.
